TNLA Expresses Readiness for Dialogue Focused on Civilian Interests

Arakha Times | November 28, 2024

The Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) announced today that it is ready to engage in dialogue to find solutions to ongoing issues while upholding the rights of civilians affected by conflict and the principle of self-defense.

The statement emphasized the plight of civilians enduring the severe consequences of the ongoing conflict, including the devastating impact of the military council’s intensified airstrikes and military offensives in the region.

Acknowledging the efforts of the Chinese government, the TNLA reiterated its readiness to engage in discussions aimed at resolving the conflict.

The statement also marked the anniversary of “ Operation 1027,” launched to counter military council forces. The TNLA reported significant military actions during this period, including clearing villages and regions of military council troops, bases, and convoys.

The TNLA accused the military council of deliberately targeting civilians with airstrikes, resulting in widespread harm and suffering to innocent people, as highlighted in the announcement.
