This morning around 3 a.m., the military council dropped bombs on Thandwe, Rakhine State, resulting in explosions in three locations and the death of two local civilians.

A local resident from Thandwe told Arakha Times, “One bomb hit the TMP factory, one hit the Taungup bus gate, and one hit the An Daw Bridge area. It seems like they might be trying to destroy the An Daw Bridge (Dwarawaddy), but we’re not sure.”

On October 24, shortly after 4 a.m., bombing by the military council’s aircraft also destroyed the offices of the Union Solidarity and Development Party and the military recruitment office in Thandwe.

“Among the two people who died, one was a young girl from Seit Mannan, whom everyone in Thandwe knew. People don’t dare to sleep at night. Every day, planes fly overhead. People live in constant fear and anxiety,” they added.

The victims of the bombing by the military junta’s aircraft were identified as Daw Su Su Hlaing and Ma Wine Sein Ma, according to APM news agency.

Similarly, in the morning of September 26, a bombing by the military junta’s aircraft at the Dwarawaddy City Hall and the Environmental Conservation Office in Thandwe city resulted in 14 civilian deaths, with nearly 30 others injured.
