AA Claims the Complete Eradication of Military Council Forces in Rakhine is Underway

The Arakan Army (AA) has announced that they continue to implement their primary objective of fully expelling all military junta forces from the Arakan region. The AA launched military offensives in the Arakan region and Paletwa area on November 13, 2023, and within one year of operations, they reportedly captured 11 towns and numerous junta military bases.

On November 13, 2023, the Arakan Army (AA) launched attacks on significant junta military bases, including the Chain Khali border guard post in Rathedaung Township, and continued relentless offensives against junta outposts. Currently, AA claims to have seized and taken control of all junta bases in Paletwa, Kyauk Taw, Minbya, Mrauk-U, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Ponnagyun, Ramree, Myebon, Pauktaw, Thandwe, and Kyeintali towns within less than a year of military operations, according to their statement.

Currently, the Arakan Army (AA) is attacking the Western Command Headquarters of the junta stationed in Ann Township. The AA has reportedly captured multiple military facilities, including Infantry Battalion (373), Artillery Battalion (374), Electrical Workshop Unit (757), Ordnance Depot (345), Military Recruitment and Mobilization Training School (8), Military Hospital No. 2/300 (300 beds), Air Defense Unit, and the Military Security Unit

The Arakan Army (AA) is continuing its offensive to capture the remaining battalions and units of the junta, including the Western Command Headquarters. Intense clashes are ongoing around Ann and the vicinity of the Western Command Headquarters.
