The Chin Defense Force – Asho (CDF-Asho) has reported an ambush on junta troops escorting reinforcements for the Western Regional Military Headquarters (Naypyidaw Command) in Ann Township, Rakhine State. The attack resulted in the deaths of four soldiers and left many others injured.

According to CDF-Asho, the ambush occurred on November 25 at around 6:15 a.m. near Got Gyi village in Ngaphe Township, Magway Region. Over 20 junta soldiers stationed at a monastery in the area were providing security along Khon Zu Road when the attack was launched.

“Four junta soldiers were killed instantly, and many others were injured. We seized one MA-1 rifle, a backpack, and some military uniforms bearing the insignia of Battalion 88,” the CDF-Asho stated in its report.

Similarly, on November 20 at around 4:00 p.m., approximately 40 junta troops near Got Gyi village in Ngaphe Township were ambushed by the People’s Revolutionary Alliance (PRA – Magway), resulting in nine fatalities and about ten injuries.

On November 5, three resistance forces jointly attacked two junta outposts along the Ann-Padan road, which links Rakhine State and Magway Region, killing around nine junta troops and around 10 junta soldiers were injured.

The CDF-Asho and the PRA-Magway have declared these operations as part of their proactive military campaigns to disrupt junta control over the Ann-Padan road.
